This week we welcomed new students and new lecturers to our Polska Campus! It was exciting to once again have people filling the hallways and classrooms.
Meet the School of Education!
On Monday the School of Education faculty came together to celebrate a new semester of teaching at PCU. The lecturers have joined from Akcent College, a private Czech university that incorporated with PCU in 2020. We warmly welcome them and their new students to the PCU community!
New Students
On Tuesday 21 September we welcomed some of our new students to PCU’s Polska campus for the first day of Welcome Week, a full programme of events to help student’s adapt to university life. Students have journeyed from all over the globe to take part in this special week of activities, some even as far as the Caribbean and South Africa.
This first day was spent getting to know each other and the campus. Students also met with PCU staff and student representatives who were on hand to welcome them. Bonds were quickly formed and student teams then ventured outdoors to discover ‘Prague City’.
Not all of our students were able to make it here in person just yet, so our Student Services team have also been holding an online orientation week programme in the Digital Campus.
Bonjour ESME!
On Wednesday we welcomed over 60 students from our partner university Ecole Spéciale de Mécanique et d'Electricité (Special School of Mechanics and Electricity) who will study at PCU for the autumn semester. ESME is a French institute of higher education and research that specialises in energy, electronics and computer engineering. They are ranked one of the top universities of Science, Engineering and Technology in Europe. Students will study in the School of Media and IT and School of Business.
Next week the autumn semester will commence and we look forward to welcoming back our students and lecturers on campuses. For those who are unable to make it to Prague and will join in the Digital campus, we look forward to meeting you when you arrive.
