Research activities performed by Prague College students can serve as exploratory tools to develop practical aspects of developing businesses in Prague.
Prague, as the capital of one of the best performing countries in the new EU-10 (former CEE) countries is renowned to have introduced new ideas and fresh business practices. Yet, it is well documented that a majority of new businesses fail within the first few years. It is important to explore the strategies of those SME's that DON'T fail, firms that after an initial successful startup period, have moved into the next important phase of business - survival and growth. It will be argued that case studies written by PC staff and students discussing the strategies of well-performing Prague-based businesses can bring not only educational value to college students, the specific firm, and the entire region but can also be used as exploratory tools to develop further practical aspects of developing businesses in Prague.
