by Lucia Ott, on Jun 12, 2018 4:12:22 PM

As the semester draws to a close, Prague College is hosting a variety of events, displaying the students' work of different disciplines. One of them is this year's HND Graphic Design Show. Under the heading 'Level Up' , twelve students display their versatile portfolios, created during the two-year programme in the School of Art & Design at Prague College.

The first thing you see, when you enter one of the three exhibition rooms in the Polska campus, is Anna's colorful display.  As a part of her presentation she shows off her own typeface, as well as a lot of humorous slogans, specially visualized to entertain the visitors.

Next to it you can find Lukas's portfolio,  dominated by his digital projects. Scrolling trough his web-portfolio, you can get a great idea of his various skills especially in the field of branding and visual identity:

Jill, who calls herself "a little obsessed with all things light" presents a variety of perfectly executed minimalistic designs. Her work meditating on light for example, gives a clear insight into her understanding of aesthetics. It contains touching photographs, reflecting the main theme of light.

At the next exhibition table the design for a company called PeltiCool stands out the most. It promotes a tool, that can be used in laboratories around the world. The student created a broad visual identity, that also includes a 3D animated product video:

In the next room, Jin attracts the visitor's attention with her sweet design, reflecting a love for colors and compositions inspired by nature. Her table is full of visually pleasing creations. Her colorful postcards and her three-dimensional collages perfectly show her playful way of working:

Also at Renata’s wall you can see playful collages, as part of her illustrations. But besides that she shows packaging design, a magical diary, a magazine called The Face and much more.|

Ilduza lives with the idea that even small things have their authentic meaning. With the help of constant exploration and experimentation she has come up with ideas like branding for a mother-and-baby care centre.

Rebeca’s part of the exhibition is dominated by green and natural colors, emphasizing her interest in sustainable design. You can see this within her projects, such as her packaging design or her Go vegan guide.

Jarno can be described as a "head-in-the-clouds kind of designer". He has chosen to display different photography works as well as one project that deals with funny and confusing words that visitors can take with them in the form of stickers.

Another student created his own video game, that runs under the title of College Games. The characters and situations are humorously derived from the daily life at Prague College:

Margrueta, nickname Maggie, inspires herself with life around to create colourful graphics. She created playing cards with a dragon theme, that are the main part of her exhibition section. She also presents many other illustration-based projects,  including moving images.

The last table at the exhibition is probably the most conspicuous one. It stages the work of Patrícia, who is "always on a hunt to keep up with the world, and mainly, the visual aspect of it." Within her design for the Grape festival she skilfully presents her insight into young and contemporary graphic design.

If you want to see this work of the students live and in more detail you still have the chance to do so! The exhibition will be open until Friday the 15th June from 10am to 6pm.
