2023 Scholarships for Ukrainian Students

by Larissa Petryca, on 21 February 2023 14:30:04 CET

In March 2022, PCU established a Ukrainian Scholarship Fund to help Ukrainian students on the Czech Temporary Protection visa start their university studies or continue studies which were disrupted by the invasion of Ukraine by the political and military leadership of Russia.

Scholarships for September 2023

In 2023, we are pleased to announce that we have a further five fully funded scholarships available to Ukrainian nationals who would like to start their university studies in September 2023.

I found PCU when I was looking for a way to continue my studies. Receiving a scholarship and being accepted in the middle of my university semester with the help of PCU staff made a huge difference to me. I’ve found the university very welcoming and I’m pleased to be a part of such a community while I gain the practical knowledge and skills that the university provides. Studying here is has led to an extremely exciting and motivating pathway that will really help me develop my future career.

2022 Scholarship Outcome

The Ukrainian Scholarships Fund, valued at 5.4 million Czech crowns, provided full-time places for up to 25 students, and the possibilty to welcome even more students through a combination of full and partial scholarships awarded.

In total, our Admissions Team handled over 500 enquiries, responding to each individual who contacted the university and helped with referrals elsewhere when a student’s area of study did not match. The majority of students awarded PCU scholarships received full funding, while a smaller amount received partial funding. In total, 35 students joined us with the help of the scholarship scheme.

In 2023, we continue to fund current students and look forward to welcoming a further five fully funded students to our campuses in September!
