Master Speaker Series: Lubomir Typlt

Lubomir Typlt (born 1975) is an internationally recognized artist who studied painting at universities in the Czech Republic and Germany. His most complete solo exhibition 'The Ticking Man' took place in Galerie hlavniho mesta Prahy in 2012. In January 2013 he will participate in an exhibition entitled 'The Butterfly Effect' in the Rudolfinum Gallery in Prague.
Typlt is not only a painter but also the author of lyrics for a unique band - WWW - which mixes poetry, hip hop and electronic beats. In this talk, the artist focuses on how he creates paintings and transforms them later into videos for WWW. Typlt cooperates on post-production with film-makers Ondrej Andera and Jiri Malek and also with a programmer of 3D animations, David Vrbik.
Lubomir Typlt has exhibited his work in Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and his paintings are held in personal collections in all of these countries. Typlt studied at the Academy of Art, Design and Architecture in Prague and Brno, and gained his Master's degree at Düsseldorf Art Academy in Germany.
