Prague College IT lecturer speaks at LawTech conference

by Alex Went, on 01 December 2015 15:46:45 CET

Our lecturer Jorge Carrillo recently appeared as a panellist at the international LawTech forum in Brussels

We are pleased to report that our IT lecturer Jorge Carrillo recently took part in the international LawTech Europe Congress, where he participated in a panel discussion on Privacy Challenges to Forensic Collections in Multinational Investigations.

As part of effective corporate governance, businesses increasingly require a complete understanding of the electronic data stored in their systrems. They must also be able to collect, process, and analyse data in a forensically sound manner, as well as planning for inspection and audit.

Legal professionals, too, need to be able to navigate the complexities of IT, in order to present evidence in a way that is defensible and timely. In particular, law enforcement agencies must be able to depend on the authenticity, security, and integrity of digital information.

Jorge's work in this area relates to the element of the MSc in Computing that deals with Computer & Network Security, as well as the module on the topic of Digital Forensics which forms part of our students' preparation for the BSc in Computing.

If you would like to learn more about this or related topics, Jorge will be participating in our special IT Open Day on 16 March 2016
