As well as the initiative in woodworking, our students also have the opportunity to engage in screenprinting workshops with our partners at DIY Praha
As well as the initiative in woodworking, our students also have the opportunity to engage in screenprinting workshops with our partners at DIY Praha. During the workshop, students mount their own designs, expose their screens, and print from their screens.
The students are asked to bring an original design to the workshop printed on transparent folie in order to work with single-colour screen printing. The students are taken through the whole process from creating their designs through to printing on different materials such as paper, canvas, and t-shirts.
All of this benefits our students by offering a new skill set that they can incorporate into their own work. This can help them to use more hand-on printing techniques in the development of their own work. In addition it gives them a place to work larger than the college and away from the computer!
