PCU Strategic Partnership in Action

Written by Larissa Petryca | 21 June 2021 23:17:19 Z

As part of PCU's longstanding cooperation in research and teaching, Stefano Cavagnetto, Dean of the School of Business, was invited to co-teach on the doctoral programmes of our strategic partner, Teesside University (UK).

Stefano created a series of lectures for DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) and PhD students on the programmes, and delivered the classes in our Digital Campus format.

Under the course title Theoretical Underpinnings of Business and Management Research, a number of significant topics were covered: the ontological relationship between reality and research, the epistemological nature of questing for the truth, and approaches and methodologies emerging from consideration of different world views.

Closer cooperation between our two universities on research has always been a cornerstone of our partnership. In January PCU School of Business and the Teesside University International Business School outlined a common research and innovation strategy for the period 2020-25 to foster research and knowledge exchanges. Stefano's engagement with students on doctoral and post-doctoral studies is one element of that strategy.
