Six weeks of summer programs for students and faculty from Maricopa Community Colleges are now underway at Prague College.

Students and professors are undertaking a study of the culture, politics, history, economics and arts of the region.

"Classes are run according to the interests of our partners at Maricopa: political ideologies, history of art, and a comprehensive faculty program," explains Prague College director Douglas Hajek.

In addition to a daily lecture program, our guests have a rich program of cultural tours, including trips to Cesky Krumlov and Budapest.

Among the guest lecturers from Prague are Jiri Pehe, Jan Machacek, Otto Urban and Natasa Babic.

The network of Maricopa Community Colleges comprises 10 colleges in the Phoenix metropolitan area, and is one of the largest higher education institutions in the world. These summer programs mark the third year of cooperation between Prague College and Maricopa Community Colleges.
