The UK’s 2021 Times Higher Education award nominations have been announced. We are pleased to report that our strategic partner, Teesside University, is shortlisted for the Outstanding Entrepreneurial University category.
Similar to PCU, Teesside values creativity, enterprise and innovation. Over this last difficult year these values have been put to the test.
Despite the pandemic Teesside continued to equip students and graduates with an essential entrepreneurial mindset.
The university developed a ground-breaking Enterprise Zone with new facilities for students and entrepreneurs. This included a community artisan bakery to help refugees develop work skills.
They were also recognised for engaging teaching content, student projects and the MicroBiz Academy programme. These factors led to Teesside’s shortlist in the Outstanding Entrepreneurial University category.
It is a great honour and achievement for Teesside to have their entrepreneurial strategy recognised nationally. The winning university will be announced on 25 November. We wish our partner every success!
