Since December 2011 writer-in-residence at London's Whitechapel Gallery, Dr Simon Morris is one of the leading proponents of conceptual writing - a fusion of art and literature. Morris has variously been called ‘philosophically irresponsible,’ a ‘literary pervert’, and an ‘inspired lunatic’, but there is no question that he is inspirational. In this special talk for Prague College, entitled 'Easting the Book', he presented four of his own experimental 'bookworks' that challenge conventional methods of reading and writing, and introduced 'Information as Material', his own imprint which publishes the work of artists and writers who re-frame extant material, and in doing so, create new meanings.
