Prague College approved as partner for Global Entrepreneurship Week

by Alex Went, on 03 March 2014 10:46:46 CET

As part of GEW, lecturers from the college's School of Business spoke on the theme of Ethical Entrepreneurship

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the largest celebration of the innovators and job creators in the world. During one week each November, thousands of events around the world inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors. The initiative is supported by dozens of world leaders and a global network of 10,000 partner organizations.

Much of contemporary business ethics assumes that businesses need to conform to ethical principles, encourage philanthropy and charity in their business and carry out ethical activities. However, business ethics could learn a lot from the values of entrepreneurship and their virtues.

In this talk and discussion, Bruce Gahir and Dr. Stefano Cavagnetto of Prague College’s School of Business explored some of the ethical values of entrepreneurship via case study examples in real business situations and explained how such values can connect business and society and lead to win-win situations.
