Lasvit: the story of a luxury brand

Mr Jakimic, who had just arrived from Hong Kong, spoke briefly about that country's political crisis, before moving on to a spellbinding account of his multinational business, illustrated with beautiful images of LASVIT's installations in many of the world's top locations from Shanghai to Abu Dhabi, Istanbul, Melbourne and New York.

The audience, of art and business students, was totally engaged by Mr Jakimic's talk, which embraced everything from open corporate culture to the importance of communications in marketing. Mr Jakimic finished by talking about the company's nearly-completed plans to open a temple to the art of glassmaking in Na Prikope street in Prague; and his desire to place the company at the forefront of the Czech luxury goods market.
