Degree Projects

Master’s study in International Management culminates in a challenging, self-defined dissertation project that taps into student's strengths, interests and experiences. Here are just a few examples:

Tatiana Eliášová submitted a dissertation focussed on HR and looked into on how companies in Prague, Czech Republic utilise HRM processes, particularly job profiling and forecasting, in order to hire and retain talented employees. Secondly, she investigated the perception of IT employees in Prague regarding these HRM practices.

Dominika Dědičová's research for her MSc dissertation investigated whether an employers reputation for being an equal opportunity and diverse employer is a recruitment attractor for public-sector organisations in the Central Bohemia Region of the Czech Republic.

Francesco Palmieri completed his MSc dissertation on Fintech advances in Robo Advising. The main focus of his project was to investigate if there is potential for a fintech startup that provides both the services of a fintech bank and Robo advisor in the European market. The need to investigate the feasibility of this product came from the high competition in the fintech ecosystem, from the high risk of the project, and from the fact that most of the early-stage startups failed. Moreover, it was important to understand, from a regulation point of view, if such a product was allowed, or if two different companies need to be created to provide two different services.

Thomas Bradle's dissertation research focussed on whether the shopping mall, Centrum Krakov in Prague, should develop a locally focused marketing strategy in alignment with new marketing trends, strategies and rapidly changing market.

Dahiana Montes discusses her research and findings after investigating 'The Attitudes and Behaviours of Czechs and Colombians towards investing for retirement'. This was Dahiana's final dissertation work for her MSc International Management degree.
