Professional Diplomas are practical programmes focused on real-life projects and scenarios, intended to help you develop new skills and move into new careers. They are designed for working professionals; for those who have followed a different academic path and now wish to develop their skills in IT and Computing; or for those who have left work but are looking to enhance their skills.

Veronika Douchova is Head of the School of Media & IT and Programme Leader for the Professional Diploma programmes. Veronika studied Mathematics and Geometry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, and Logic at the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy, both at Charles University. After gaining her MSc. in Mathematics, she continued in graduate studies in Applied Mathematics. Currently, she is finishing her PhD in Cognitive Science.
1- year Diploma
This diploma introduces students who are familiar with or have some knowledge of programming, to essential and current topics in networks and security, including application development. It is an excellent fit if you are seeking a career as a Network Administrator or Network Specialist.
1- year Diploma
As a growing number of applications are web-based, developers and designers must be able to understand the complicated relationship between solution components and how they contribute to solution architecture. This programme provides you with web application development fundamentals and principles for effective data management. There is also a strong emphasis on the need for well-structured and secure data storage. Previous experience with any programming language is an advantage, as is graphic design experience. It is also recommended that the applicant is familiar with programming.
Plus one of the following options:
1- year Diploma
This programme is for those who have previous knowledge on the essentials of networking infrastructure and are familiar with networking administration, as it provides additional knowledge focused on security, cybersecurity and information systems.
1- year Diploma
This professional diploma offers candidates with programming knowledge the opportunity to shift to Java by extending their knowledge of algorithms and computational complexity. Previous knowledge and experience with at least one programming language (any kind) is required.
1- year Diploma
Given the large number of environments in which modern applications operate, the need for thorough design that combines effectiveness with security is growing. Senior Developers should be able to perceive problems in the organizational context, and there is an increasing need to understand application design principles in the context of key security measures. Good programming skills are required along with systems design basics, UML and flowcharts.
