Prague City University is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Stefano Cavagnetto as our inaugural Pro-Rector. With a distinguished academic career and extensive experience in higher education administration, Professor Cavagnetto brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the position.
As Pro-Rector, Professor Cavagnetto will oversee the strategic direction of the university's academic programmes, research initiatives, and community engagement efforts. His vision for enhancing educational quality and expanding global partnerships will continue to elevate Prague City University's reputation as a leading centre for higher education in Europe.
After undertaking an MA in Future Design at PCU Ruth sucessfuly transitioned from digital marketing to design research. The programme's flexibility and diverse perspectives enabled her to explore speculative design, leading to impactful projects and a role with the United Nations Development Programme. From that experience, she now works as a consultant for social innovation organisations where she collaborates with global teams on a range of programmes — such as regenerative futures — leveraging research and design for systems change.
A series of exhibitions for public viewing was held over May and June at PCU's Bishop's Court Studios. The exhibitions showcased the work of graduating students from the School of Art and Design.
In addition, graduates from the Creative Media Production programme presented their final films and documentaries at Kino Bio Oko.
Overall the student's presented exciting new work that provoked and intrigued visitors.
Every year we team up with our Industry Network partners to deliver a Professional Development Week that prepares students for work. Students learn how to craft their CV's and portfolios and refine interview skills tailored to their specific field of interest.
The week is followed by our Career and Internship Fair where students meet directly with recruiters from global companies based in Prague. We also welcome our alumni from different programmes who share their experiences on how they've found their professional niche.
Students from the School of Business are working together with SAP on a collaborative project. The primary objective of the partnership is to explore ways to streamline routine tasks seamlessly using AI to enable people to concentrate on strategic choices, creativity, and customer-oriented projects.

On April 4th and 5th, academics and creatives from the Czech Republic and around the world met in Prague to discuss the role of art in the preservation, transmission, and transformation of memory. The conference was organised by Branislava Kuburović from PCU’s School of Art and Design Faculty, Irena Řehořová and Ondřej Váša from the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University and was held at PCU’s Bishop’s Court Studios and Kampus Hybernská.
