Global Strategic Advisory Board
The Advisory Board serves as a close group of independent, highly experienced educational and industry professionals who have agreed to lend some of their time and expertise to support Prague City University.
The purpose of the Advisory Board is to advise on the academic and institutional strategy that underpins plans for university development. The Advisory Board offers critical analysis and support to the Senior Management Group (SMG) and to others in faculty and administrative leadership, in order to enhance and promote current good practice in the organization, and to discuss and discover fresh approaches to strategy and practice when needed.
Members of the Advisory Board engage with various constituents from the university, including students, faculty and staff, offering support and advice within their individual and collective areas of expertise.
Professor Ronald Barnett is Emeritus Professor of Higher Education at the Institute of Education in London, where he was both Dean of Professional Development and subsequently Pro-Director for Longer Term Strategy. He is considered one of the world's leading thinkers about the role and future of universities in society.
Dr Rachel Forsyth is Head of the University Teaching Academy at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, and co-author of Identity Crisis: Working in HE in the 21st Century.
Professor Piercarlo Grimaldi is the founding Dean (Rector), President of the Faculty Council (Academic Senate) and full professor at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Italy.
Dr Liz Marr is Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Students) at the Open University in the UK. Liz is a pre-eminent expert on widening participation and inclusion in higher education.
In 1987 Minoru Kasuya joined a project to establish International Pacific College in New Zealand, one of the first private tertiary institutions with degree-granting authority. He was awarded Member of New Zealand Order of Merit in 2000 for his service to education.
Ing. Helena Sebkova, CSc. is Director of the Centre for Higher Education Studies, a Czech public research institute. Helena also led the UNESCO Study of Higher Education in the Czech Republic and publishes widely on higher education matters.
Bruce Sterling is a legendary American science fiction author, best known for his novels and his work on the Mirrorshades anthology, which helped define the cyberpunk genre. He is an acclaimed speaker and thinker on the future, with a particular interest helping business and cultural leaders imagine the world in 50 years time.
Radomir Spok is a co-founder and former Executive Director of Europeum - Institute for European Policy. Now working in the state public sector he a writer and practitioner for financial management of organizations and he leads projects focused on educational and research activities.
