Continuing Professional Development

PCU offers a number of programmes designed for working professionals. Many of our students are sponsored by their companies to undertake a qualification to support their career development which PCU supports with an attractive bursary scheme (see below). We are delighted to welcome individuals or groups to any of our programmes, as well as deliver bespoke programmes to meet employers’ needs.

Our working professional students are delighted to receive highly practical, contemporary training and sought after skills that compliment their roles. Small class sizes alongside classmates who are also professionals, entrepreneurs or small business owners, along with individual attention from experienced lecturers accelerate students' creativity and knowledge.

Bursary for Professional Students

If an employee receives partial funding from their employer for one of the above mentioned degree programmes then PCU will match the employer's contribution, capped at 20% of the tuition fee.

For example, if a company offers to pay 10% of fees, PCU will also pay 10%, reducing an employees own costs to only 80%. And if a company offers to pay 50% of the fees, PCU will still contribute 20%, meaning that the employee will pay only 30% of the total tuition fee.

Note: Applicants who apply for and are successfully awarded a scholarship are not eligible to benefit from this bursary, even if their company agrees to cover the cost of their tuition fees.

Schedule

Evening and weekend classes as well as blended learning delivery is possible at all levels of study across our School of Business and School of Media & IT programmes offering maximum flexibility to the working professional.

Pedro de Sousa Avelino — MSc Leadership and Strategic Management student — Chief Technology Officer & Chief Operating Officer at NN Insurance, Hungary
"I never imagined that the combination of tailored classes, attentive and proficient tutors, and a practical approach towards leadership and strategic management scientific theories could be so invigorating. It was mind-blowing to correlate the actions that we, as managers, practice daily, and understand the reasons for those from a scientific standpoint. Even if you are not practised yet, you will have the chance to learn from the beginning how to improve yourself professionally and personally with the help of the theories introduced, experienced colleagues and caring tutors."

“We are delighted to have partnered with PCU for our annual “Follow Your Dreams” CSR project. PCU took our project to a new level providing participants with an in-depth certified education. The project comprised of a tailor-made vocational program in essential business skills and practical sessions on CV writing, interviewing skills and mock interviews with experienced hiring managers. PCU therefore is a true cornerstone for us in making this project happen. Being flexible and aiming to meet our project’s objectives, the academic staff designed a short and very effective course and delivered it to the best of result. What we also highly appreciate in our partnership is that PCU acted as a real partner, having had contributed in the design of the project, having had coordinated admission, selection and ongoing communication with the beneficiaries, and even having had given us a hand with the delivery of events. It is a great pleasure to partner with such a professional, highly skilled and enthusiastic team! All beneficiaries of the project were delighted with the program and so were we! We can’t wait for it to launch again in 2022 and for years to come.”
