Prague City University serves its academic community of students, lecturers, researchers and alumni. Our goals are to provide an outstanding education for our degree-seeking and professional qualification students, to create a rewarding work environment for our academic faculty members and administrative staff, and to make a meaningful contribution to the world around us. We have assembled a team of talented individuals who all contribute to this mission and serve our community.
The President and Executive Chairman is ultimately responsible for all aspects of the university, working in cooperation with the Rector, who is broadly responsible for academic quality and content, and with the Executive Director, who is responsible for the economic and administrative functioning of the university on behalf of our academic community.

Academic Leadership
The Academic Council Executive, composed of the Deans of our four Schools along with the President, Rector and Executive Director, is at the heart of building and delivering our academic strategy and goals on a day-to-day basis and in the longer term. The larger Academic Council includes the Executive at its core, along with faculty members representing all of our subject areas, as well as independent members who bring their outside perspective to developing the quality and content of our academic portfolio.

Centre for Research and Interdisciplinary Studies (CRIS)
The primary driver of institutionally-led research across the university, CRIS initiates projects, events, publications and research activities within and across our Schools, while also supporting initiatives brought forward by our individual faculty members and researchers. Members of CRIS include all Research Leads, who are also individually responsible for ensuring the development of institutional and individual research activities relevant for the programmes and people within their respective Schools, and in cooperation with their Deans and faculty colleagues. Members of CRIS are primarily research-active lecturers from across the four PCU Schools.
