The Resource Centre at Prague City University is designed to provide needed equipment and support for educational non-professional purposes. Cameras, video production equipment, including lighting kits for studio and field work, audio recorders, microphones and related equipment used in sound production as well as video projectors for presentations and exhibitions. Currently registered students and faculty have the right to borrow equipment exclusively for school projects, presentations and other educational uses during each semester in the academic year.
To reserve equipment, please choose from available items on the PCU Equipment List and fill in the Equipment Loan Request Form. If available, you will be notified when the requested equipment will be ready for you. If you need assistance feel free to come to the desk with questions or to check out equipment. Technical information and equipment specifications are available in our growing collection of User Guides available to everyone with a PCU email.
Resource Centre Desk Hours:
Books and equipment may be checked out and returned (by 12:00 - midday) on the 1st floor at our Hybernská City Centre Campus, room H111 next to Reception. Outside of the open office, or desk hours, you may arrange to pick-up or return items at reception simply by sending an email. Plan ahead: Booking must be done a minimum of 24 hours in advance, or more before a holiday or weekend, as they do not count in the time calculation. Equipment is loaned out for 2 weekdays, and on Fridays (for the 3 day weekend).
Books are reserved via the Physical Library link in the Student Hub and may checked out for one month at a time.
