Hulda Niinisto, BA (Hons) International Finance and Business Accounting graduate

"When I started I didn’t have a specific field in mind, but my interest steered quickly to financial crime. This was a field that I didn't know a lot about, but it piqued my interest and got me excited and due to the great teaching and expert lecturers I focused on cryptocurrencies for my dissertation. The lecturers' support at PCU is significant. Their knowledge, background and encouragement has been great. With smaller class sizes they have been able to offer personal teaching, support and guidance throughout which has meant a lot to me."

Hulda Niinisto, BA (Hons) International Finance and Business Accounting graduate

The programme can be taken either full-time or in distance learning format.

Full-time Format

Full-time students in the first and second years of the programme will have 12 hours of lessons per week. In the third year, students will have 6 hours of lessons per week, along with weekend sessions. This structure allows students in their final year to engage in work or internships, as they are encouraged to do so.

In general, students are advised to double this time for self-study and for working on class assignments. In addition, a further 2 to 3 hours per week may be required for attending events and workshops on campus.

Distance Learning

The Distance Learning Degree allows us to offer students a 3-year programme delivered online through our Digital Campus. You will experience the best of a Prague City University education by receiving individual mentoring from our professional lecturers, and by actively partaking in all lectures and discussions in the university’s Digital Campus alongside your fellow students.
In addition, the programmes are supported by two residential weekend sessions in Prague, per semester. This is your opportunity to visit our campus, meet fellow students in your programme, attend workshops with your group, and consult with your lecturers in person.
Students can enter the distance learning programme at three points during the academic year: September, February and June, with two modules taken each semester. Bachelor’s Degrees are awarded after 8 successfully completed semesters of study.

Meet a Graduate

"My lecturers were just fantastic and continue to be fantastic as I pursue my Master’s at PCU. The course material was well structured and geared for deep learning and the projects so practical. The knowledge I gained really helped me to understand how businesses work and how decision making is directly related to finance and accounting. Furthermore, with CIMA added to my degree a whole new world of information opened up to me. Towards the end of my Bachelor's I was privileged to be accepted into the Global Finance Rotation Program at SAP and now work across many different departments which allows me to further explore my passion for finance."
