Beyond the Classroom
Our Master Speaker Series (MSS) features leading local and international business leaders from various industries, economics, politics and more. As professionals they share their experience and perspective on contemporary issues impacting business, while reinforcing the core concepts taught on our programmes.
Faculty work closely with our Industry Network and Industry Advisory Council ensuring that up-to-date industry-relevant content is taught to our students. Additionally, our partners frequently offer internships and part-time and full-time work opportunities to talented students within their organisations.
PCU’s Business Plus programme selects outstanding students to participate in and attend business briefings, working committees and seminars organised by chambers of commerce and professional associations within the Czech Republic.
Our Centre for Research and Interdisciplinary Studies (CRIS) welcomes students who would like to contribute to interdisciplinary research projects, or participate in academic conferences hosted by PCU. The CRIS academic bulletin also offers students a platform for publishing their independent academic research.
The University’s annual Career Fair brings students and industry partners together for in-person interviews and discussions and professional workshops to help students determine future career pathways.
Meet the Acting Dean
Dr. Dave Gannon
Dr. Dave Gannon was recently appointed as the Acting Dean of the School of Business, Management & Technology. Alongside his ongoing role overseeing teaching and learning, he will now provide leadership and strategic direction for the School of Business, Management & Technology.
Beyond his teaching and management roles, his research explores the challenges marginalised groups face in the workforce, a subject on which he has published and presented internationally. Recently, his work has centered on AI implementation strategies in HR and management.

Vít Horký
After graduating from International Management, Vít founded Brand Embassy, growing his fledgling start-up into a significant global player, offering cloud-based customer care management solutions to large scale corporations. In 2019, Vít’s company was acquired by Israeli customer care giant NICE inContact, which he continues to manage and grow with full support from the parent company. Vít credit’s his studies and lecturers for ‘kickstarting his entrepreneurial journey to the next level‘.
Djellza Hamza
Djellza chose to study MSc Computing at PCU as she particularly liked the small class sizes taught by professional lecturers. During her third semester, she was successful in securing a job as a Technical Product Specialist at Ataccama, in Prague. She has since advanced to a QA Automation Engineer at Stats Perform. Djellza credits PCU with providing her with a quality education that helped her grow both professionally and personally.
