Ing. Bohuš Získal, Ph.D.
Principal Lecturer
Bohuš has been teaching computing students at PCU since 2012. He also guest lectures at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University (ČVUT) and at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague.
He has a rich background in television and film production, having worked in both creative and technical roles. His experience includes serving as a postproduction technician, graphics designer, SFX supervisor, and Head of the Graphics Department. Bohuš has also been involved in the early phase of digital multimedia. Since 2012, he has been working as an independent project manager and graphic designer while contributing articles to technical magazines. His expertise in digital content management has been sought by institutions such as the National Museum, the National Film Archive and the National Library of Technology, to enhance the presentation and preservation of research and archival materials.
Bohuš holds a Master’s degree in Technical Cybernetics from the Faculty of Electrotechnical Engineering from ČVUT, and holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from Charles University's Faculty of Philosophy. In addition, he spent four years as Assistant Professor at Charles University in the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship and participated in research activities conducted by the Institute of Intermedia.
