Dave Gannon, DBA
Acting Dean of the School of Business, Management & Technology
Dave is the Acting Dean of the School of Business and responsible for the BA (Hons) International Management programme. Dave specialises in teaching HR, Cross Cultural Management and Research Methods at undergraduate and post-graduate level. His Doctoral focus was on the employment of marginalised groups in the Czech Republic.
He is currently involved in two areas of research, firstly in developing materials to assist student research; secondly, developing student materials for the areas in which he lectures. He is a frequent contributor to the Bulletin of the Centre for Research and Interdisciplinary Studies (CRIS).
He has been closely involved in education development since graduating from Sheffield Hallam University including teacher training in China and vocational and language training in the Czech Republic and Portugal. In addition, he brings his experience and passion for running and managing businesses to classes.
Dave holds an MA in Imperialism and Culture from Sheffield Hallam University and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Teesside University. For his Doctoral work he focussed on on the employment of marginalised groups in the Czech Republic.
