Jakub Grosz is a Czech multimedia artist primarily concerned with light behaviour in interactive systems, video, and scanography. Issues such as complexity, chaos, and relativity of perception play a major role in his experimental works, often involving fractal structures, light, and laser set-ups as well as a wide range of transparent materials.

Since 2009, Jakub has been working on European interdisciplinary projects in the LIBAT laboratory and in 2011, Jakub graduated from BA (Hons) Fine Art Experimental Media at Prague City University (PCU).

Jakub specializes in visual arts and experimental media, and teaches new media at PCU including 3D animation, modelling and rendering, interactive installations (VR, video, sound, 3D scanning etc) and media transformation. His artworks explore the use of advanced scanning and imaging technologies in interactive systems, creating minimalistic spatial structures from complex multi-dimensional transformations of raw input data, that provide new perspectives on the infinite nature of reality.

Jakub is also a Virtual Reality Specialist at ELI Beamlines which is connected to the Institute of Physics at the Czech Academy of Sciences. At ELI Beamlines Jakub works on pan-european research projects contributing to the development of VR, AR, and 3D web applications. He is also an artist and researcher at LIBAT Hybrid Lab for Arts and New Technologies where he explores laser, camera tracking, 3D scanning, VR, interface design and other new media technologies to create experimental art installations.

Jakub has exhibited his work in several Prague galleries, notably Pragovka Gallery, Gumarna Caslav, DOX Centre for Contemporary Art and Galerie Školská.
