
Mgr. Jana Krchová
Associate Lecturer
Jana is an independent designer and art director who collaborates with cultural institutions and businesses to develop and execute comprehensive design projects. In addition to her client work, she teaches Design Thinking in Practice and Language of the Profession for the Graphic Design programme.
Jana has also collaborated with TV and film productions, creating both on-screen and behind-the-scenes graphics for the acclaimed TV series Defender, which received a Golden Nymph nomination. She also developed the visual identity for the 29th Czech Lion Film and Television Awards, shaping the aesthetic of one of the industry’s most prestigious events. Her clients also include Lycée Français de Prague, CEFRES Institute and Czech Academy of Sciences.

Selected Projects:
2021 - "Ochránce" - ten-part series produced by the Czech Television, creation of external and internal graphics, logotype and promo, subtitles and other internal graphics. The series received a nomination for the Monte Carlo Festival.
2019 - external artist/designer for "Jak si nepodělat život" series, CTV.
2019 - visuals for "Beyond 1989" Conference organised by CEFRE (French Research Centre in Humanities and Social Sciences) in cooperation with the Czech Academy of Science and Charles University.
2018 - long-term cooperation and rebrand of visual identity for French Lycee, Prague.
2018 - design for the French Film Festival, French Institute, Prague.
