Mgr. Martin Kräussl

Lecturer

Martin is a lecturer in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language programme, of which he is also a proud graduate. He holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Applied Linguistics, specializing in Language Teaching Methodology. His PhD research focuses on fostering critical thinking within the context of English as a foreign language teaching. 

With 20 years of experience teaching in high schools, language schools, and private settings, Martin also delivers classes on critical discourse analysis and anglophone literature, with academic interests in the language of advertising and online media. At Prague City University, Martin supervises third-year students’ teaching practice and teaches courses on critical discourse analysis. Beyond Prague City University, he is a full-time lecturer at the Department of English within the Faculty of International Relations at the Prague University of Economics and Business, where he delivers subjects on professional, business, and academic English. Additionally, he teaches a course on the critical discourse analysis of advertising at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
