Pascal Silondi

Pascal Silondi, BA

Principal Lecturer

Pascal teaches for the Fine Arts Experimental Media and Computing programmes. He is a multimedia artist who specialises in developing interdisciplinary projects around the interaction between real and virtual environments.

Pascal creates interactive 3D environments, experimental interfaces, intuitive navigation systems, shared 3D environments and communities, multimedia platforms distributed on the Internet, 2D and 3D animations, videos and robotic interactive sculptures.
 
Some of the performances, installations and international network projects he has worked on over the years include: Zona, Virtual Port-Saint-Louis, Virtual Palac Akropolis, e-Galab, e-Radnice, e-Agora, ETUDE, Underground City XXI, Underground Landscape, Tchouri, Polibek and Udoli.

For several years Pascal has also organised a series of in-situ workshops at PCU, including Meta.IDs – Interactive Digital Storytelling. This workshop encouraged collaboration between visiting artists, students, and technology experts, creating an experimental and dynamic environment for exploring interactive media and immersive storytelling.

2019: Orga[ni]sm, Interactive Virtual Reality installation at Prague Quadriennale PQ 2019/36q.
2018: Perspective(s), Art Directing and managing projects such as the reconstruction of the Grotte Cosquer (2020-2021).
2018: Vertigo, Interactive Virtual Reality installation at Pragovka, Prague.
2017: Interactive Virtual Reality installation and performance at festival Electric Spring in Huddersfield, UK.
2017 - 2021: Expert in criminology using Virtual reality, Augmented Reality, XR hybrid principles to re-create crime scenes in partnership with "LAC" laboratory (Fr).
2016, 2017, 2018, 2019: Cyberspace - a 10 day workshop held at PCU that brought together artists, students and lecturers from Fine Arts, Experimental Media and IT to work in an Omni-directional VR/AR/XR/3D Research Laboratory. The main goal was to share and exchange the vision and know-how of the different participants and set up an Exhibition of the Artworks created during the workshop.
2016: Modern Anxiety - a 5 days workshop using Virtual/Augmented Reality, 3D scans, electro-acoustic soundscapes, sensors and motors that merged with traditional techniques such as embroidery and sculpture held at Skolska 28 gallery in Prague.
2016: Exhibition of Paintings at the French Institute, Prague.
