Isa Juchniewicz: LyrArkestra+

By Larissa Petryca on 25 October 2024

Isa is an Associate Lecturer for the School of Art & Design. Her professional practice as a visual artist centres on the intersection of new media and performance art.

LyrArkestra+

LyrArkestra+ was a series of audiovisual concerts held over 2022 to 2024, at various festivals and institutions, such as "Vienna Shorts", "Brno Art Week", "Alternativa Festival", Dům umění Ústí nad Labem, Punctum, and GAMPA. These concerts merged the distinctive sounds of Lyra synthesizers with the unconventional compositions of Milan Adamčiak and Jan Steklík, inviting diverse musical and visual interpretations.

Isa, in collaboration with fellow School of Art & Design lecturers Cristina Maldonado and Keya Singh, were responsible for the accompanying visuals. Their inventive and captivating visuals created a structured digital environment that reacted dynamically to the music, adding an additional layer of improvisation to the performances.
