Prague City University’s strategic partner Teesside University has received excellent results in the recently published UK’s Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), which measures the teaching performance of UK higher education providers.
The University received the highest rating of Gold in all three categories, which includes an ‘Overall’ Gold rating, as well as a Gold rating for ‘Student Experience’ and for ‘Student Outcomes.’ This exceptional rating was awarded to only 26 higher education providers in the United Kingdom and is testament to the university’s mission to transform lives and economies through education.
Other metrics include the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021, which recognised the majority of Teesside’s research as ‘world-leading’, the Times University Guide, which ranked Teesside 23rd for Teaching Quality and 38th for the Student Experience (out of 131 providers); The Guardian University Guide, which ranked seven of Teesside University’s subject areas in the top ten, including 1st place for Graphic Design (out of 64 providers) and 6th for Mechanical Engineering (out of 68); and the new Mail University Rankings, which placed Teesside 30th for Teaching Excellence and 60th overall (out of 128 providers).
In addition to sector recognition, Teesside students have also endorsed the university’s position, with excellent scores across the board in the National Student Survey and a 1st place ranking from international students in the International Student Barometer Survey 2023 – a rank that Teesside has successfully retained for the last seven years.
