This week, Prague College hosted a business seminar for a visiting group of students from the Croatian city of Dubrovnik

On 3 September, fifty students from the Dubrovnik School of Economics and Business (Ekonomska i trgovačka škola) attended a morning seminar hosted by Prague College School of Business. They were the fourth international university to visit the college this year. Other prestigious schools have included the Marriott School of Business from Utah, Designschule Munich, and the University of East Carolina.

As part of their study trip to the Czech Republic, the students from Croatia took part in a discussion led by our business lecturers, entitled 'Why and How to do Business Research'. An introductory talk on the subject was given by Head of School Stefano Cavagnetto.

'The world of business is a changing environment that requires an awareness of what is going on and often urges rapid responses that have to take several variables into account,' said Dr Cavagnetto. 'These can be areas such as finance, ethics, strategy, innovation and risk taking. In this morning's seminar, we learn that balancing these different variables, developing successful strategies and aiming at the desired goals for a business enterprise can be a challenging task'

The students received a certificate of attendance and were shown round the college campus by Prague College students before leaving for home. We wish them all the best for the next stage in their studies.
