Prague College was honoured to be addressed by the top economist and bestselling author

The top economic thinker Tomas Sedlacek visited Prague College on 25 October 2011. In his knowledgeable and entertaining delivery, Sedlacek compared the state of today’s economic situation to a “Body Without a Soul”. His lecture, informative yet easy to understand, provided participants with an overview of development of economic situation over the centuries and its impact on today’s era. The participants were challenged to re-think basic economic theories and principles and to evaluate the role of economics in reality.

The economist, philosopher and the writer further argued that in order for economy to grow and progress. there has to be a balance between the hard (results, accomplishments, and profits) and the soft (regard for the individual, needs, and emotions).  Sedlacek concluded his lecture with a debate on the topic and was later available at a signing of his bestselling "Economics of Good and Evil”.
