Graduate Exhibitions 2021

by Larissa Petryca, on 20 June 2021 18:16:59 CEST

Throughout May and June, graduating students from the School of Art and Design and the Creative Media Production programme presented their amazing, final projects over 5 themed exhibitions. Each show had an in person opening and were live streamed to social media.

HomeMade Design

On the 28th of May, graduating students from Graphic Design held a public presentation to demonstrate their final projects. Their HomeMade Design presentation, referencing their year of working from home due to the global pandemic, was in hybrid format. This allowed for all 22 students to present their work either from PCU's Bishop's Court campus in Prague, or from their home base, as some could not be physically present. The presentation was live-streamed to Facebook and you can also check out their projects in more detail at the HomeMade Design exhibition website here

Reflection in a Pond

On the 3rd of June, sixteen Fine Art Experimental Media graduates publicly presented their exhibition over two floors at PCU's Bishops Court Art Studios. The exhibition aimed to find connections in times of crisis and asked visitors to self-reflect on the changes and the emotions that they'd experienced in over the past year. You can check out the exhibition works on their Instagram page here and take a look at photographs from the opening here.

Coming out of the cave

On the 9th of June, the graduating students of Creative Media Production had their first screening after the long period of lockdown and came out of their cave to present their final films, documentaries and podcasts. Coming  together for the screening was a great way to celebrate these student's achievements after a long and challenging period of study. Photos of the opening can be found here. If you were unable to make the show then stay tuned as we will soon be publishing highlights of the films, docs and podcasts to the PCU website!
