We are delighted to announce that Prague College's partner Teesside University has been rewarded for its outstanding work in the field of enterprise and business engagement. The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes are the most prestigious form of national award for excellence in higher and further education in the UK. They are awarded every two years in recognition of outstanding work at world-class level. The award recognises the way in which Teesside's academic expertise, coupled with knowledge transfer, business support and enterprise services, has supported the creation of a digital media ‘super-cluster’ on Teesside to reposition and re-ignite the regional economy.

A select seventeen universities were rewarded this year. Teesside’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Graham Henderson (above), said that "to join that group, in an area so central to our mission of supporting the digital sector and developing highly-employable graduates, is a source of huge pride to the whole Teesside University community." In February, a delegation from the university will attend a gala presentation banquet at the Guild Hall in London, followed by the formal presentation of the award at Buckingham Palace by Her Majesty The Queen.
