Master's business students attend Prague Innovation Forum

by Alex Went, on 10 October 2016 14:16:34 CEST

On 4 October, a group of our Master's students from the MSc International Management programme attended an Innovation forum hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce.

The event included a round table discussion of marketing strategy entitled 'How to build my Amazon', examining current challenges in sales channels through the eyes of consultants, tech companies and customers.

Speakers included representatives from Tesco, Vodafone and FG Forrest, who introduced aspects of sales and marketing from their own commercial and professional contexts.

Business lecturer Tuck MacRae, who accompanied the students, was particularly pleased: 'As Executive Development Coordinator here at Prague College, I am proud of our recognized efforts to bridge the gap between business practice and academia. To this end, being a member of the British Chamber of Commerce and participating in their Innovation Forum allows our students to hear from outstanding business leaders and to understand the realities of the business world.

'Exceptional speakers such as Petr Viktora of Deloitte Digital, Zsolt Partos of Tesco PLC, and Vaclav Zadrazil of Vodafone deliver dynamic presentations that drive straight to the core of the issues surrounding organizations competing in this hypersensitive, global, digital arena.

'As a former senior executive and now executive trainer, I believe participation in these events is crucial in developing the talent pool from which our future business leaders will emerge. Thank you BCC for helping us bridge the gap!'
