Students from the Hotel Management School (Hotelfachschule) in Hamburg have joined business classes being run as part of this year's Prague College Summer School. They are studying two modules: Understanding and Leading Change and Business Ethics.
Assignment briefs for the course include primary research of hospitality and related businesses, as well as retail observation in Prague. In the first week the students were introduced to a number of businesses including the El Emir Lebanese restaurant, branches of the French bakery Paul, and the five-star Carlo IV hotel. The second week began with an architectural tour of the Vinohrady district in the neighbourhood of Prague College.
Lecturer Larry Koch is delighted with the progress of the class. 'These are serious students who have come from abroad to attend the Prague College summer school, and I've been really encouraged by their energy and engagement. I'm really looking forward to the final two weeks of our course together.'
