Semiotics - 1st Workshop

The first workshop will be focusing on literary semiotics and various schools which have developed their own approach to literature. Some of the classics, such as Louis Hjelmslev, Roland Barthes, Algirdas J. Greimas, Julia Kristeva and Yuri Lotman will be presented and analysed. Particular attention will be devoted to Lotman's theory of literary iconicity and to Kristeva’s semanalysis as a science of the text.
