2013 sees the ninth annual edition of the Times Higher Education Awards, a celebration of all that's best in the UK Higher Education sector.

The awards are designed not only to honour, but also to stimulate commitment in the two core pursuits of higher education: teaching and research.Prominent among this year's shortlist is our own academic partner Teesside University, who are once more competing for the title

Entrepreneurial University of the Year.Teesside is no stranger to these awards, having been a finalist in 2010 and also a winner in 2009 not only of the award for Outstanding Employer Engagement but also the overall accolade of University of the Year.

We wish them the very best of luck. The winners will be announced on Thursday 28 November at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London. More information from the THE Awards website.
