Masa Hilcisin, lecturer for PCU’s Creative Media Production programme opened a solo exhibition, Inwards, at Kampa Community Centre. The exhibition showcases Masa’s experimental videos and photographic work over the past year and will run until May 23.
Inwards, involved a year-long creative process embedded within a deep personal journey. Using photography and video Masa explored forms of light, movement and rhythm to express shadow, pain, struggle, isolation, happiness, anxiety, excitement, desire and other aspects of the self.
"Inwards" is personal and collective pain, as these themes talk to all of us.
The exhibition opening included an inspiring & moving inner Witch Lab project site specific performance, lead by Vanessa Gendron, Melanie Rada and Andrea Larose.
Art workshops for adults and children have also been run in conjunction with the exhibition, with two more taking place on May 16 and 18 at 5pm.
The exhibition will run until May 23 at the Kampa Community Centre at U Sovových mlýnů 3, Malá Strana. Photos courtesy of Robert Carrithers.
