School of Education Faculty

The faculty of the School of Education are highly-qualified teachers in their own right, with many years’ combined experience in training new generations of teachers in the adult education sector. They all hold doctorates in disciplines related to pedagogy, linguistics and communication, skills which they are keen to pass on to PCU students!

Rektor, Czech University Accreditation & Programmes

Zdeněk’s role at Prague City University is Rektor of the Czech University Accreditation and Programmes and he also serves as the Dean of the School of Education.

PaedDr. Dana Hánková, Ph.D.

Dana has been teaching English as a foreign language for over 35 years in various teaching contexts.

Mgr. Kristýna Červinková Poesová, Ph.D.
Kristýna is a lecturer in English phonetics and phonology at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Charles University where she also received her Ph.D. degree. She has been teaching English phonetics and phonology in the English as second language program at Akcent College (now PCU) for several years, achieving a reputation as a respected professional among her colleagues and an excellent teacher among her students.

Gregor Kalinowski, MA, Ph.D.

Gregor teaches literature, theory and academic writing on the English as a Second Language program at the School of Education. He holds Master’s degrees in Modern Literature and European Philosophy and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

PhDr. Veronika Quinn Novotná, Ph.D.

Veronika holds a Master's degree in English and German Philology and a Ph.D. in English linguistics from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. She has taught (applied) linguistics, academic and creative writing at Charles University, the University of West Bohemia, and the Czech Academy of Sciences. Her research and teaching interests include English morphology, syntax, lexicology, and Global Englishes.

Mgr. Jana Richterová, Ph.D.

Jana is in charge of the linguistic field of the English studies and has long been a senior lecturer in syntax of the English language at prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, including Charles University, Prague.

PhDr. Kateřina Šrahůlková, Ph.D.

Kateřina is responsible for psychology subjects, namely educational/pedagogical psychology and social psychology. She studied for Mgr. and PhD. degrees at Charles University in Prague focusing on educational/ pedagogical psychology.

PhDr. Květa Suchánková, Ph.D.

Květa’s areas of expertise are general didactics, general pedagogy, and adult education. She studied at Masaryk University in Brno (Mgr. degree in Czech language, social sciences) and subsequently at Charles University in Prague (Ph.D. in pedagogy). She specializes in development of didactic competencies of lecturers to adults as well as teachers of pre-school and school education.

Mgr. Martin Kräussl
Martin is a lecturer in the Teaching English as a Foreign Language programme, of which he is himself a proud graduate. Martin holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University and is currently preparing for his doctoral studies in English Linguistics. His major interest in linguistics is the language of advertising and online media.

Mgr. Martina Limburg Loučková, M.A.
Martina Limburg Loučková holds a Master's degree in English and German Language and Literature from the Faculty of Arts at Masaryk University in Brno and Modern Dutch Literature from Utrecht University. She has taught English in various contexts for over 15 years and her areas of expertise are teaching with film and authentic video and project-based learning.
