School of Art & Design:
Workspaces and Tools

Bishop's Court Art & Design Studios

Located in the city centre, Bishop’s Court is a dedicated art and design studio, providing a dynamic space for classes, exhibitions and workshops. It is also the venue for the popular fortnightly VALS lecture series.

Originally a textile factory, and later a contemporary art gallery, the building has a rich heritage as a centre for artistic production, a tradition which PCU maintains and develops.

The studios extend over three open-plan floors, enabling students to study in a range of spaces covered by campus-wide Wi-Fi. Modern labs are furnished with quality hardware plus industry-standard software for both Mac and Windows users.

PCU’s Digital Campus learning platform includes a full range of digital research resources, so you also have the option to study remotely when required.

Pragovka Postgraduate Art Studios

Located in the developing art and design district of Vysočany in Prague 9, this vast complex (originally built as a factory for Praga cars and trucks) has been transformed into one of the city’s major arts centres, with further plans for expansion to make it Prague’s premiere creative hub.

The studios provide the necessary space for PCU students undertaking their Master’s in Fine Art. The dynamic space houses a cafe, markets, summer cinema, art exhibitions and concerts, and is home to many working artists. This gives our students the unique ability to work alongside, and learn from, renowned Czech and European creators.
