Learning Spaces and Resources

Classroom-based teaching in small groups

The Polska campus is the centre of learning and production for IT and Media. Our classrooms are fully connected for PC and Mac, and students have access to industry-standard film, photography, digital video and audio suites. Programmes focus on hands-on activity (supported by theoretical knowledge and professional development) to prepare you for the broad-spectrum world of media and content creation.

A Lab for fresh ideas

In addition to well-equipped classrooms, we are firm believers in communication as an essential part of learning. Use of common areas such as the student lounge and courtyard ensure that fresh ideas are constantly being generated and bounced off each other through chance (as well as arranged) meetings and conversations. This ‘laboratory’ aspect is a great asset of a PCU education.

Beyond the classroom

Good learning depends on the right learning environment. PCU also takes learning beyond the lecture room, making full use of opportunities available throughout the city. Visits take place to multiple working environments, including recording studios at Czech Radio and Czech Television; and students show their work at events at Prague’s independent cinemas such as Kino Pilotu, Aero, and Bio Oko.

Digital Campus and Blended Learning options (Computing only)

Our Blended learning option offers maximum flexibility. With classes taught predominantly through the Digital Campus, students spend less time on campus, but still experience superior learning with individual mentoring from PCU’s professional lecturers. Moreover, through frequent personal participation in the Digital Campus, you become an active participant in our global digital community.
