Na fakultě School of Education přednášejí vysoce kvalifikovaní vyučující, kteří mají mnohaleté zkušenosti s novou generací učitelů v sektoru vzdělávání dospělých. Většina z nich je držitelem doktorského titulu v disciplínách souvisejících s pedagogikou, lingvistikou a komunikací. Dovednostmi, které velmi rádi předávají studentům na PCU!
Na Prague City University působí jako rektor Prague City Vysoké Školy, která je akreditována v České republice, a zároveň jako děkan Pedagogické fakulty (School of Education).
Dana Hánková vyučuje angličtinu jako cizí jazyk v různých výukových kontextech již více než 35 let. Má více než 20 let zkušeností s přípravou učitelů angličtiny pro dospělé v Cambridge kurzech CELTA a Delta.
Kristýna Červinková-Poesová přednáší anglickou fonetiku a fonologii na Katedře anglického jazyka a literatury Pedagogické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy, kde také získala titul Ph.D. Již několik let vyučuje anglickou fonetiku a fonologii angličtiny jako cizího jazyka.
Gregor Kalinowski vyučuje literaturu, teorii a akademické psaní. Je držitelem magisterského titulu v oboru moderní literatury a evropské filozofie a doktorátu z angličtiny z University of Kent v Canterbury.
Veronika holds a Master's degree in English and German Philology and a Ph.D. in English linguistics from the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. She has taught (applied) linguistics, academic and creative writing at Charles University, the University of West Bohemia, and the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Jana Richterová má na starosti jazykový obor anglistiky a dlouhodobě přednáší syntax anglického jazyka na prestižních univerzitách v České republice, včetně Univerzity Karlovy v Praze.
Kateřina Šrahůlková zajišťuje výuku psychologických předmětů, především pedagogické psychologie a sociální psychologie, případně dále obecné či vývojové psychologie.
Květa Suchánková se specializuje na obecnou didaktiku, všeobecnou pedagogiku a vzdělávání dospělých. Vystudovala Masarykovu univerzitu v Brně v magisterském oboru český jazyk a společenské vědy a na Univerzitě Karlově v Praze doktorský obor v pedagogice.
Martin Kräussl je lektorem programu Specializace v pedagogice: výuka cizích jazyků ve specializaci Angličtina jako cizí jazyk, jehož je sám hrdým absolventem. Martin vystudoval magisterský program Anglický jazyk a literatura na Filozofické fakultě Masarykovy univerzity a v současné době se připravuje na doktorské studium v rámci programu Anglická jazykověda. Jeho hlavním zájmem v oblasti lingvistiky je jazyk v reklamě a online médiích.
Rektor, Czech University Accreditation & Programmes
Zdeněk’s role at Prague City University is Rektor of the Czech University Accreditation and Programmes and he also serves as the Dean of the School of Education.
Zdeněk chaired the Department of General Linguistics at Charles University and served two terms in Charles University Senate. He also pursues his own professional and educational interests in general linguistics. Zdeněk teaches courses in general linguistics focusing namely on language structure and issue of cognitive linguistics (undergraduate and graduate level) and tutors PhD linguistics students. Zdeněk holds a CSc. degree in General Linguistics (Charles University) and MA degrees in Czech Studies, Aesthetics and Mathematics (Charles University). He is an Associate Professor in General Linguistics.
Zdeněk’s research tackles issues of language understanding, interlingual interface and linguistics methodology.
Dana has been teaching English as a foreign language for over 35 years in various teaching contexts. She has over 20 years of experience in training English teachers for adults (Cambridge CELTA and Cambridge Delta courses). Dana earned her Ph.D. in pedagogy from the Faculty of Education at Charles University. Starting 2008, she has taught the English language teaching methodology and supervised teaching practice at AKCENT College in Prague, where she has chaired the Department of foreign languages and their didactics.
Kristýna is a lecturer in English phonetics and phonology at the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, Charles University where she also received her PhD degree. She has been teaching English phonetics and phonology in the English as second language program at Akcent College for several years, achieving a reputation as a respected professional among her colleagues and an excellent teacher among her students.
Kristýna’s research interests include, among other English phonetics and phonology issues, the effectiveness of pronunciation learning and teaching and accent attitudes. Recently (2019), she co-authored the e-book Becoming a pronunciation teacher.
Gregor teaches literature, theory and academic writing on the English as a Second Language program at the School of Education. He holds Master’s degrees in Modern Literature and European Philosophy and a PhD in English from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
His main research interest is modernist and late modernist literature, focusing especially on Kafka, and he has published on Kafka in peer-reviewed journals such as The German Quarterly, SubStance and Comparative Literature.
Gregor also has a background in language-teaching and teacher-training and has been a CELTA tutor for more than ten years.
Ela holds a Master’s degree in Czech and English Philology and Ph.D. in English linguistics from the Faculty of Arts, Palacký University in Olomouc.
Her areas of interest are English syntax and morphology. Ela taught linguistics at Metropolitan State College of Denver (now MSCU) as part of the Fulbright Scholarship (2008-2009), and from 2009 she was Assistant Professor at Akcent College (now PCU).
She is a member of the Advisory Board for Hradec Králové Journal of Anglophone Studies and of the Board of Reviewers for the Olomouc Linguistics Colloquium (2013, 2014, 2016).
Jana is in charge of the linguistic field of the English studies and has long been a senior lecturer in syntax of the English language at prestigious universities in the Czech Republic, including Charles University, Prague.
Having graduated from the Palacký University in Olomouc (doctoral degree in 2012), she has been teaching morphology, syntax and phonology of English. Her prime domain is syntax of English, namely the syntactic structures conveying the expressive function in both English and Czech. Her research has a substantial overlap with ELT, her interest lying in both text analysis and the education of future professionals in English.
Kateřina is responsible for psychology subjects, namely educational / pedagogical psychology and social psychology. She studied for Mgr. and PhD. degrees at Charles University in Prague focusing on educational / pedagogical psychology.
Her PhD studies took place at the University of Gent (Belgium) and Prague Charles University. Kateřina works as psychologist at Elementary School at Bulovka Hospital and cooperates with Médecins sans Frontières. Her last mission took place in a refugee camp in Greece (2020). Her publication and research activities deal namely with issues related to work of psychology practitioners.
Květa’s areas of expertise are general didactics, general pedagogy, and adult education. She studied at Masaryk University in Brno (Mgr. degree in Czech language, social sciences) and subsequently at Charles University in Prague (PhD in pedagogy). She specializes in development of didactic competencies of lecturers to adults as well as teachers of pre-school and school education. She has more than 20 years of experience in private and public educational institutions as a teacher, lecturer, consultant, but also the school principal. She has been teaching at Akcent College courses on pedagogy, didactics and adult education since 2008 and has chaired the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology from 2014.
Associate Lecturer
Leah is originally from the USA where she graduated magna cum laude from Ripon College, Wisconsin, double-majoring in History and English literature. Leah lectures in the School of Media & IT and School of Business.
Having taught in a wide variety of educational environments - including a non-profit community-based literacy council, writing centres, private and public ESL schools, and universities - Leah continues to instruct and guide international students at Prague College.
As an undergraduate, she was awarded a number of academic honours, including the Pro-College Research Grant for history (2002) and the Pierre Guiet Prize in English (2003). Leah earned her ESL Teaching Certificate and Master of Arts degree in Applied English Linguistics (magna cum laude) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which was an ideal environment for exploring and researching language acquisition and international education in both the theoretical and applicable spheres.
From an early age Leah has been interested in cross-cultural communication, and Prague College is the perfect place for Leah to combine her passion of English instruction and cross-cultural learning. She first visited the Czech Republic in 1994 and (as an American Field Service Student) in 1995. Her areas of academic interest are: second language acquisition, social organisations and the study of language, variations in world Englishes, discourse analysis with an emphasis on classroom discourse and the intersection of language, ethnicity, and education.

Associate Lecturer
Lucie Rivera is an Associate Lecturer at Prague College's School of Business.
Lucie has a responsibility for the cross-faculty Blended Learning programmes at Prague College. She lectures in international HR, PR and organizational behaviour. She graduated in the field of International and European Economic Studies and has a Master’s degree in Professional Communication from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
Lucie worked at Prague College in the Marketing department when it first opened its doors to students in 2003 and returned in 2012 to lecture in the School of Business.
She teaches classes of all academic levels in the areas of organizational behaviour, sales, international management and communication.
In 2006, she moved to Miami, Florida, where she continued her career in the education sector working for various public and private universities. As well as lecturing, she held posts as Associate Dean of General Education at Keiser University, and Program Coordinator and International Student Advisor at both Florida International University (FIU) and Kaplan International College. Her main teaching areas are human resource management, communication and public relations.
Lucie has a BSc degree in International and European Economic Studies from the University of New York in Prague and an MA in Professional Communication from La Salle University.
Associate Lecturer
Manuel is originally from Münster, Germany and has taught in the Business School since 2018, for foundation and undergraduate level courses.
He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Economics, currently focusing on cross-cultural management in the context of coworking. He holds an M.Sc. in International Management from Teesside University and a B.A. in Business Administration (Dual Studies) from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University in Germany. During his studies, he also spent a semester at the University of Pisa in Italy.
He has experience as a freelance translator from English into German and vice versa, and since 2016 has taught German for foreigners in Prague. His interests include languages and sports.
