Creative Practice

Degree exhibitions

As part of their Major Project module, in the final semester of their programme, students plan for and exhibit work in degree shows. The exhibitions take place in either the students’ studios or in public spaces across the city. Venues in the past have included: Meet Factory, Trafacka, Trafo Gallery, Galerie jedna, Francouzsky Institut, and Pragovka. These exhibitions are opportunities for the students to exhibit their diploma work for public comment.

Study Trips

An important part of Creative Practice involves regular study trips to conferences, festivals, galleries, and art and cultural institutions. Trips planned for the next five years include the Venice Biennale, Brno Biennale, Vasulka Kitchen Brno, Vienna Museums, Dresden Museums, Berlin Museums, Transmediale Berlin, and more.

Fine Art Creative Practice

Lecturer for MA Fine Art and BA (Hons) Fine Art Experimental Media programmes and visual artist, Anetta Mona Chişa, has taken up a residency at Šaloun - The Studio of Visiting Artist AVU Prague. The residency started with a public lecture (in English) exploring the relationship between contemporary art practice and the avant-garde. Anetta’s residency at AVU allows her to practice her skills and knowledge in contemporary art practice to a wider audience, the results of which she will bring back into the classes she teaches at Prague College.
