Veronika is Dean of the School of Media & IT, with research and pedagogical interests in mathematics and its application in IT, as well as adult pedagogy and current trends in teaching delivery. She studied Mathematics and Descriptive Geometry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, and continued with her Ph.D. at the Department of Logic at the Faculty of Arts, both at Charles University.

Beyond her previous teaching experience at the Czech Technical University and Charles University she has also been involved in several research projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Czech Science Foundation.

During her 15 years at PCU, she has been teaching mathematics and soft-skill modules for a range of programmes and schools, co-wrote the BSc (Hons) Computing and MSc Computing programmes, and participated in the creation of BA (Hons) Creative Media Production programme. She leads the teams of lecturers at all the programmes within the School of Media and IT.
