Have you ever met a polyglot – that is, a person who speaks many languages? Zhiyar Mohammed talked to Petr Kubalek, a native Czech who says he normally translates texts from at least 16 languages – although he adds with some modesty that he only speaks nine of them.
Language is a key part of any family, community, culture and the human race. Knowing foreign languages helps you to make new friends and meet some interesting people, and it is becoming increasingly common to use social networks to interact with people from all over the world. Apart from this, if you love travelling, the only way to get to know other cultures and new people is talking with them.
