Over the months of May and June, graduates from six programmes presented their work across four exhibitions and one cinema evening. Each exhibition was themed, curated and marketed by student teams who were responsible for selecting modes of delivery, promotional graphics, teaser trailers, budgets, and devising publicity campaigns.
Below are the exhibition details, web links and photo galleries.
After two years of intensive work the exhibition was the culmination for final year Master’s students of Fine Art and Future Design. The graduates collaborated and shared ideas to unite and present an impressive interdisciplinary show in the Postgraduate Art Studio exhibition spaces of Pragovka. The official exhibition opening was on the 17 June for graduating students and their guests, the exhibition was then open to the public from Friday 18 until Sunday 20 June. You can walk through the exhibition here, and view images from the opening here.

On Thursday 3 June, sixteen final year Fine Art Experimental Media students opened their exhibition 'Reflection in a pond' over two floors at the Bishop's Court Campus in Prague 1. They also launched a printed catalogue to further showcase their art.
Turning inwards at times when the outside is disconnected. We, as artists, are finding connections in times of crisis. Focussing on ourselves and our practice, within the boundaries of an uncertain outside.
Resembling Narcissus finding his reflection in a steady pond, we too now see the self. Taking photos of ourselves, asking questions about our own perceptions, our own clarity of mind. We take a closer look to converse with ourselves, in an effort to expose a new stage of clarity and resolvedness.
Ultimately everything becomes the subject of self-reflection. The self —as a catalyst for exploration, development and creation— now becomes a steady agent and driver in our worlds. A world that is ever changing, developing and growing.
Our work exists within a context of multiple, overlapping, and intersecting narratives, where there is an undeniable sense of urgency in our creation, our consumption, our conversation. On these still waters, we find our reflection. But disturbing the surface now allows us to refract the perspective and find new directions.
Visitors also got to take part in a participatory performance!
Anthony Tsang's participatory performance encouraged visitors to choose things that they didn't need from a range of objects that he had collected. We buy things all the time, and most of our choice is not because you absolutely need it, but because you like it or you are attracted to it. But how do you know the things you are attracted to actually suits you?

Utopia. A perfect world, a perfect society. Is it possible to ever create such a thing?
But maybe that’s what being an artist is about - taking something impossible and making it a reality, at least in our minds, hearts, and canvases.
We students at Foundation Diploma in Art, Design, and Media Practice tasked ourselves with trying. Each of us chose a topic connected to social responsibility, and challenged our minds and imagination while trying to come up with a solution. Our projects show one (or more) problems that our society faces every day, but this time with a happy ending. Or, at least, a happy start (if happy endings aren’t your thing😄). Something that all of us can do to get closer to that Utopia, step by step. And we sincerely hope that we will inspire you to start creating our utopias with us! ❤️
