Workshop on Intercultural Work for international students

The Association for Integration and Migration and the Association for Intercultural Work invite you to a workshop for international students in the Czech Republic.
 
Prague College students


Have you experienced language and cultural barriers while communicating with public institutions?

  • Do you find it difficult to communicate in Czech in public offices?
  • Are you interested in what NGOs have to offer to foreigners, e.g. services, language courses?
  • Are you interested in learning more about civic engagement and volunteering opportunities for students?
  • Legal aspects for students who are planning to work in the Czech Republic
  • How not to become a victim of a rental fraud.
 
Contents of the workshop
  • introduction to intercultural work, practical examples, role-play situations and discussion
  • overview of services provided to foreigners by NGOs in the ČR
  • civic engagement, volunteering opportunities for English-speaking students
  • residence permits for the purpose of study in the ČR, employee card, employment and studies
  • legal framework, Q&A (you will be able to discuss your personal issues with a lawyer free of charge)
The workshop will be based on the experience of intercultural workers who provide assistance to migrants in communication with public institutions.

 

Trainers

The workshop will be led by intercultural workers who have migration experience themselves. The trainers will base the workshops on their personal and professional experience with migration, integration, and communication with the authorities. The workshop is conducted in the English language and is free of charge!
